프레드릭 콘스탄트사의 오토매틱 문페이즈 워치입니다. 국내에서 매우 인기있는 콘스탄트사의 문페이즈 라인인데요. 쿼츠 중 로즈골드 모델(FC-270EM4P4)이 그 인기의 선봉에 있는 듯 합니다. 오늘 소개해드릴 시계는 쿼츠가 아닌 오토매틱 무브먼트를 탑재한 녀석인데요. 외형은 쿼츠 모델과 큰 차이를 보이진 않습니다. 굳이 차이를 두자면, 52주기를 표시하는 '레드포인터'의 부재인데요. 이 때문에, 관점에 따라 다이얼이 조금은 심심해 보일 수도 있을 듯 합니다.

'See-through case back, ETA 2824-2 SWISS'

One of the most popular signature of the brand is heart beat which let owners can see a movement through a hole on a dial. However, also Frederique constant is famous for its beautiful moon phase watches. Especially, the rose gold moon phase quartz watch(FC-270EM4P4) is one of the must-have items for a lot of watch collectors due to its stunning and luxurious dial.

'a stunning dial with Roman numerals'

The watch I am going to introduce today is also one of the brand's gorgeous moon phase watches which is operated by mechanical movement. Fist of all, a dial of the watch is so attractive. Roman numerals on the white dial and moon phase function at six o'clock catch people's eyes. A stainless still case is 40mm in diameter and has 22mm lugs. A case back is visible by adopting see-through case back.

Frederique constant's craftmanship of creating dials is magnificent and amazing. It simply means the brand knows how to design and create well-finished dials. Many of people evaluate and concede the brand's high-quality dials. When those who have experienced the brand mentioned about their watch and the brand,

the beauty of dials is always in the middle of their talks. When I observed the dial of the watch thoroughly by using a loupe, I could see how sophisticated printing and engraving is. Also, well-engraved word and patterns on a rotor which can be seen via see-through case back make my eyes rich. 

'can be flattered by various color straps'

The stainless still 40mm case with lugs of 22mm, which is typical size for modern watches, but a bit bigger than my preference. Actually, I prefer lug size of 18mm in order not to being a belt wearer on wrist. I have no idea why they adopt 22mm lug for this only 40mm size of the watch.  I made an order of green alligator strap for this lovely timepiece. Contrary to my expectations, the strap is ill-matched with the watch. So I decided to match the strap for another watch.

프레드릭 콘스탄트 모델을 나란히 놓아 봤습니다. 좌측부터 오토매틱, 쿼츠, 오토매틱 모델순이고요. 옐로우 브라운을 시작으로 모두 컬러 스트랩을 체결해 주었습니다. 스트랩 컬러 선택에서 오는 시계 멋의 변화를 정말이지 무궁무진하단 생각이 드네요. 

이번에 이베이를 통해 구입하게 된 그린 악어 스트랩입니다. 본래는 위에서 소개한 문페이즈 시계에 체결하고자 하였는데요. 막상 매칭해보니 그닥 어울리지가 않았습니다. 눈을 돌리던 중 발견한 토너형 모델에 살짝 갖다 대보니 생각외로 잘 어울렸는데요. '진짜 주인은 따로 있었네' 라는 생각이 몽글 피어올랐습니다. 

패턴과 색감이 아주 예쁜 스트랩입니다. 개인적으로 컬러 스트랩을 매우 선호하는데요, 그 중에서도 블루와 그린 컬러에 대한 선호도는 남다르다고 할 수 있습니다. 같은 컬러에서도 스펙트럼 내 수많은 색감의 차이가 존재하는데요. 이번에 구매한 이녀석은 컬러 스트랩임에도 불구하고 진득하고 무거운 색감이 참 매력적인 듯 합니다.
