Rolex Datejust Reference 16013 with a silver-toned dial
I am happy to be here today with this lovely Rolex Ref. 16013 which has been just added to my collection. Datejust is a fantastic example of understanding Rolex's identity and solid value in terms of design. A Jubilee bracelet and a fluted bezel make this watch more symbolic and gorgeous. I think Rolex Datejust is one of the most distinguishable and recognizable timepieces in the world. They have been being loved by a number of watch enthusiasts for many years since its first release in 1945.
I was so excited to be an owner of this watch which has a lovely silver-toned dial. Many of vintage Rolex ranging from Ref. 1601 ~ 16233 normally has a champagne dial. This type of silver and other colored dials are relatively hard to find in the vintage watch market. I have been browsing websites to finds this watch for around 3 months. Finally, now it's lying on my wrist.
This watch comes with a 14 karat solid gold/stainless steel case and a Jubilee bracelet. As you can see the pictures, they are almost in their mint condition. There are no over-polished signs over a fluted bezel and a crown. The Jubilee bracelet hasn't been stretched that much and has very few scratches. Buying this kind of good condition of Rolex has become more difficult due to the rising interest for vintage timepieces especially vintage Rolex all over the world.

This watch works very well with every outfit ranging from casual to formal. Most of the watch enthusiasts do agree with this aspect of Datejust. It's obviously versatile and flexible over your style whatever you wear. I have been totally falling in love with Rolex Datejust especially vintage model(Ref. 1601 ~ 16013(4)) which comes with an acrylic glass. I prefer an acrylic glass rather than a sapphire glass because it gives warm feel due to its material properties. Datejust has a strong presence in the watch world even it's vintage.
It's quite common that Jubilee bracelet will be stretched out over time. However, this watch could have an advantage for the matter. This watch comes with a 14 karat solid gold bracelet which is more durable and less likely to be stretched out compared to 18 karat solid gold models. It's a common sense that 14 karat gold watches are cheaper than watches rendered in 18 karat gold. However, it doesn't apply to Rolex DJs. For Rolex, the 14 karat gold material means uniqueness and has always been targeted by many Rolex enthusiasts.
