WHY WE LOVE VINTAGE WATCHES
People's interests for vintage watches, all over the world, are the hottest ever. The popularity of and competitiveness for collecting vintage watches is increasing day by day. Then what makes us so passionate and enthusiastic for vintage watches?
It's a kind of our natural instinct that we always want to be different from others. In this respect, a fashion is the most effective and efficient way for us to be different and unique among the noise of the modern society. Among many fashions, the best way of styling is in the 'vintage' which is often explained as 'unique' and 'one off'.
Taking vintage items is a good way to be different. Imagine you bought a vintage watch that is really hard to find on other's wrists. Now, that is one of many values of vintage watches.
I have been collecting vintage watches for around 6 years. For 6 years, there has been no price reduction for all of my watches from each date of all my purchases. The total amount of vintage watches in the world never changes, but demands for the vintage watches have been rapidly increasing for a recent few years. A simple fact of this imbalance of supply and demand makes vintage watches more valuable and lucrative.
It is really difficult to find any reason that would cause a drop in vintage watch prices. In this respect, buying vintage watches could be a decent way of investment in various terms. Honestly, buying vintage watches is not that profitable in some ways but the point I am trying to make is that there will be at least no price reduction until you complete your dream collection.
I have a big penchant for old-looking things. We have an obsession for something to be always new and clean after it gets to be our own belonging. You might have an experience of getting stressed about having your new iPhone damaged accidentally. I have that experience for sure. When I first got my iPhone 5S a few years ago, I dropped it on the cement floor at the first day of the purchase. I almost cried at the time and was stressed out for that matter. Not to make a generalization, but we normally get stressed from an experience of new becoming old.
Vintage products help us to be less obsessive for that matter. They let us grow and go seek for our happiness instead of dwelling on new becoming old.
