I am totally falling in love with my Rolex Datejust. An amazingly comfy Jubilee bracelet and its iconic design deserve to make Datejust as one of the world's most distinctive and beautiful watches. When I take a closer look at the watch, there are several recognizable features; a fluted bezel, a cyclops, and the Jubilee bracelet. These are the elements which make Datejust more distinguishable and special from others. The fluted bezel, one of iconic features of Datejust is an example of outstanding work of Rolex. It gives iridescent beams  the various angle of reflection of the light. This gives the watch more shine under the Sun.

Datejust has been strategically keeping these kinds of features since its first release in 1945. Datejusts ranging from Ref. 1601 ~ 116233(4) features no much differences in their design. In this respect, they are likely to maintain their value even into the future vintage watch market.

Every component of the contemporary model Ref. 116233(4) and the previous model Ref. 16233(4) are compatible in many parts as the two models are adopting the same movement which is a Rolex Caliber. 3135. I have gotten myself a dial of contemporary Ref. 116233 model and replaced the previous champagne dial with the new one. It is only possible because the dial is one hundred percent compatible to both models. After some work, my watch is reborn and looks like a modern and trendy watch.

The gray colored dial with the big Arabic numerals makes perfect harmony with the watch. If you have an interest in Rolex Datejust, you might know how attractive the gray dial can be. It gives a calm feel compared to other normal dials such as silver and champagne colored dials. In short, I am fully satisfied with this replacing work and also realized that this kind of work only makes sense when it comes to vintage Rolex.

I have been dreaming of owning Rolex for more than five years. When I was a college student, having Rolex was a unattainable dream. When I got my very first Rolex, I was surrounded by indescribable joy for a while. I told myself; 'I will continuously collect Rolex watches even they are pricey compared to my previous collection'

Honestly, when I first got into the watch world, I was a kind of person who really didn't care of Rolex. I just thought that it was a grandfather's old-fashioned watch and that it was for people who want to show off their social status and financial abilities. However, I have dove into the watch's world as deepest as I can, and I realized that the design of Rolex(especially, Datejust) is aesthetically perfect in many aspects.

I have been making purchase of Rolex intensively for the last one month, and now I have three Rolex. Fortunately or unfortunately, I am planning to add one more Rolex(which is Ref. 16013) to my collection. I have been browsing on the website to hunt a good conditioned Ref. 16013 recently. I will be back soon with a post of my new purchase.
