오늘은 Caliber. 1022 무브먼트를 심장으로 둔 오메가 빈티지 오토매틱 워치 한 점을 소개해드리겠습니다. 1972 - 1984년 사이 제작된 오토매틱 무브먼트로 제원상 42시간의 파워리저브를 보입니다. 12년이란 기간 동안 약 7만 8천여점 정도가 생산된 23석 무브먼트입니다.

시계가 특별한 이유는 두 가지입니다. 첫 번째로는 직경 37mm의 사이즈입니다. 빈티지 시계 답지 않게 현행에 가까운 사이즈를 보이고 있으며, 러그와 케이스 사이즈 부분의 공간까지 모두 채워진 디자인으로 실제 체감하는 크기는 더욱 크다고 할 수 있습니다.

두 번째로는 일반적인 커브드(curved) 러그가 아닌 일자 러그를 사용했다는 점입니다. 개인적으로 일자 러그를 매우 선호하는 편인데요. 가죽 스트랩 체결 시에 여백이 생기지 않아 시계가 주는 안정감과 균형미가 좋기 때문입니다. 또한 브레이슬릿 체결 시에도 보다 호환성 부분에서 보다 수월하다는 장점이 있습니다.

The automatic gear is integrated into the movement, instead of attaching it to a manual-wind calibre as usual.

Together with indirectly driven minute and second this leaves in the center space for a rugged rotor bearing, despite the low profile.
